Rotating Assemblies

First,
Looking to rebuild my motor in my '89 GTA. I have seen the rotating assemblies in the jegs/ summit catalogs, but want to know of any other sources of parts.
second,
I want to build a larger motor than my current 350, ie 383 or larger. I'm planning on making serious HP and want to do the job right. If i were to go with a 383 rotating assembly besides the block prep is their anything else i should know. or if i were to aquire a 400 sb what internals would i go with.
also Heads and cam what spec's should I be looking for with either a 383 or 4??.

any guys with these combo's what are your thoughts, pro's con's i wish i had bought this that etc...

I know that the driveline and chassis will need attention but i want to get the motor done so i know what I am going to be looking at

I have a bunch of questions but just trying to get a start

thanks in advance guys

Might want to check out PAW as well. Parts Automotive Warehouse. Not sure of the website, check www.google.com

As far as rotating assemblies go not much I can say. As there really isn't a distinct question. On the 400, try to set up a internal balanced engine using 6" rods. I believe you'll have to run a small-diameter base cam and probably some clearance issue, but in the end it's worth it.

Heads and cam are really depend on what setup your going to be after, the heads, cam and intake are all a combo that needs to be setup together. All of it also depends on if there are any power adders going to be used.

Get a little more detailed in the questions and I'm sure me or someone else here can help you. Otherwise try to figure out how much your looking to spend and go from there, you'll run into some problems with the 400 that can be a pain, but cubes are easy horsepower.
