I have an original 1992 Pontiac sales brochure that lists the Firebird, Trans Am, and Formula. I also have a bone stock 1992 Formula 350 to go along with it. In this brochure, it says in the option section- "Another 50HP is waiting for you behind the parts counter. Ask about the SLP package." It shows next to this statement a picture of the L98 motor and exhaust. I'm assuming it's not talking about the Firehawk, as that was a seperate entity from the parts counter. What parts compose of the SLP package, and our they still available? How much would they cost? Thanks.

 

I believe it had slp runners, slp headers and maybe some slp suspention mods and cold air intake maybe.

Applicable on a 1990 L98?

 

I bought the package thru Summit in `92 and it consisted of a chip,1 5/8"stainless headers,3" Stainless exhaust,their runners and a ram air. Installing all that at once made a good improvement over stock on my stock 305 at the time.I don`t know if you can find a new kit somewhere($1500 new back then)but you should be able to peice it together seperately
Should work fine on a `90,the chip was for SD cars

No I don;t think I;d go through the trouble to 'mock up' the package when its not a very fierce setup to begin with. Thanks though.
