30# injectors - to Big?

Have the opportunity to get some accel 30# injectors for cheap. have a L98 with many mods (currently around 300hp). I don't need anywhere near that much injector at this time, but wondered if I turned down the fuel pressure if they could be used as 22-24# injectors until I supercharge and turn them back up a little. Any advice would be appreciated - the price can't be beat - very cheap.

Sorry about no signature. will do soon!

Without a change to the inector constant in the PROM, your going to basically wash down your rings with Gas.

Fp change or not.

Not a good idea.

Was planning on having the computer chip redone anyway. Does it make sense If I do that way? The accel 30# injectors will cost me only $100. A buddy can do the chip at cost.

Cost on the Chip...

Cost for a At29c256 is about 5$

Thats My Cost

It really Depends on what your "extensive mods" actually are, But I still think 30 lb accels is Pushing it.

If you plan to use them down the road... Get them now and Use them later.

300hp at the crank? You're going to drown that poor little motor with 30# injectors. Like Bort said, go ahead and get them but dont put them in until you do many more mods to the car.
