Fuel Pump

One day I drove my car to school and at the end of the day the car would turn over but would not start. It turned strong. I pulled a wire off the dirstributer and it had a strong spark. But i havnt pulled any plugs. When I turn the key to on i used to hear the fuel pump but now I dont. I checked for a fuse in the fuse box, and where the owners manual says the fuse for the fuel pump is...there isnt one....and one dosnt fit there. Is there another fuse somewhere else? Or could the injectors be bad and pressure is still in the line so the pump dosnt come on? I Dont know...is there a relay or something somewhere that could be bad...PLZ HELP ME

On the pasenger side fender there should be a fuse. Follow a black narrow wire off the negative terminal to the fender it will have an enclosure around the fuse(looks like a relay)

That should solve problem.

Fuel pumps DO go out fairly often, if you want to be 100% sure of the situation you're in make sure your fuse is indeed good, then pull the plug that leaves the interior and pops to the exterior of the car in the "axle well" (Just above the axle, you'll see it up there on the underside of the trunk hump) stick a voltmeter in your positive and ground it then have a buddy turn the car to acc and see if you get current if you do your pump is froze, if it is I recommend buying a walbro because if you like power you're GOING to need it some day, and you deffinatly dont want to change fuel pumps more than once, Im sure you'll understand by the time you're done the first time

For your sake I hope it *IS* a fuse

Also dont forget about your fuel pump relay

Its next to your maf power and maf burn off relays, and ESC module (for MAF cars obviously)

Ok

I checked the fuse behind the battery it was a yellow fuse. I checked it several times but i only looked at it finnaly in Hope that my pump wasnt bad i pulled the fuse and used a multimeter set to OHMS and it turned out the the fuse was open. But It looked good the wire was perfect i dont know why but now that it is running it starts really easy but wont stay going easy...I need to keep revving and its hard to keep started..What could this be? I just put a new Air Filter on because it would wine before it started. Im setting the timing tommarow but having a freind keep it going while i move the dist. Is that the right way to do it?
Or should i do it a different way. Oh Yeah...Anybody got a motor for sale? I want a 350..I got an 85 trans Am that has a 305 and im looking to go bigger. I got a 700R4 Trans w/shift kit..Im looking for complete motor...Or at least nearly complete to where i can exchange off my 305 to finish the motor anyway...Email or post me
