I am collecting ideas and planning a 350 based small block tpi motor. 350 based meaning that anythinhg built off of a 350 block including strokers. I am looking at naturally aspirated as well as supercharged, no nitrous. Please post your motor build along with gas mileage, tranny, and gearing ratio. I am interested in seeing who gets the most horses and quickest 1/4 miles with the best gas mileage. So far Mike of the 383 TPI post looks to have the best at @12.5 seconds and 21 mpg highway, 16 city.
Can you beat that?

Thanks for the info,
Mike3

I havent beat his time yet but I get about 16 MPG city and 24 MPG highway with my combo. I leave it in 5th gear because 6th gear pulls it down too far and puts too much load on it.

My brother's 88 Iroc gets 23 MPG highway/15 city. That's the best I could do burning chips for it, not using highway mode. It's equipped with a D-1 Procharged 377 running 15 p.s.i. AFR 190 heads, SLP cam, Ported Edelbrock base, ported SLP runners, ported plenum, 58MM TB, 50lb./hr. injectors, Mufflex 4" exhaust, Random Tech. 4" converter, SLP 1 3/4 headers, Vigilante custom 9.5" converter, Art Carr 700R4. We're installing a GEN VII DFI on it right now(converting to speed density, sequential injection, and low impedance 55# injectors), and should be able to get slightly better mileage with it. We'll be dynoing this summer, and it should be somewhere between 725-800 flywheel horsepower. It passes emissions with flying colors and idles at 750 RPM w/ 17 inches of vacuum.
