Cheapest recipe to get 325rwhp ?

I have a stock 305 TPI with stock exhaust. It has 158,000 miles on the original, (untouched internally) motor. (Still dyno'd 220rwhp/270rwtq in June 2002) For next year's autocross season, I'd like to get 325rwhp.

What's the cheapest and easiest recipe to get me there?? If that means pulling the 305 block and slapping in a 350, then let me know, BUT if you think I could keep my 305 block, but do more mods, and it'd be cheaper to 325rwhp - let me know that too !

By cheapest, I mean, average and reasonable used (or new)prices to get the necessary parts - not stealing the neighbor's Camaro or grandpa giving you a free motor..

Thanks! Your recommendation is my command...

Let's see, you're at 220 RWHP now. I would say a 105 shot of NOS would do the trick. LOL

Hehe, man, you are QUICK!! I almost meant to add one more line: Naturally Aspirated methods only... Them silly SCCA officials don't take too kindly to spraying NOS while on course! haahahaha

Get a 350 and slap an Edelbrock RPM package on it. Edelbrock RPM heads and Edelbrock RPM cam, with something like a Holley StealthRam up top. That's 430HP at the flywheel for around $2k

you could maybe get a gm crate engine and put your tpi stuff on it. thats what i would do considering i dont really know how to rebuild engines.

i am pretty sure you could also get your 305 to make that kinda power but it might be just as costly, depending if you can do the work or not..

run a search and see what kinda info is on here..

Take a look at Traxion's and Kevin91Z setups if you want POWER!
TRaxion has a miniram and Kevin91Z is a LTR setup... both have proven they know what they are doing...

your welcome guys!! hahahaha
