OK iam setting the timing on my 85 IROC with the 305tpi and was wondering if you start the car then disconnect the EST or do you disconnect it first before you start it , then after i set the timing do you reconnect it then turn the car off or turn the car off then connect it back up.

sorry if that is alittle confusing.

Start the car
Set the timing
Shut off the car
Plug it back in
