IMHO - I think it is a great cam for 305 TPI's. As with anything on these cars, PROM tuning will make the most of the cam swap.

what do you guys think the horsepower gain would be? would 30-40 hp be a reasonable guess over a peanut cam car?

sounds good to me... i got the cam now, and now i need to know what else i need for it to work without problems... Would it be smarter to go get SR torquer heads, or would it be cheaper to get my stock heads port and polished and milled for a bigger spring seat? and if i get the torquer heads... could i reuse the rocker arms?

The ZZ4 cam has too much lift for the stock heads.

Okay then ( just curious what I have to do to the heads for them to fit . Because there are other members running this cam ( I hoped they would reply) with the 305.

Thanx again
