Difference in runners?

What is the difference between large bore runners and siamese runners? Is one better than the other the more modded you get into an engine? Also what different intakes are out there for the TPI? Is there anything in between the LTR and the MR? Also it will be in a firebird if it makes a difference.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Siamese runners will allow more power in the upper rpm.

Intake systems: written in "runners length" order.......

- Large tube runners
- Siamese runners
- Lingenfelter Superram
- Holley Stealth ram
- TPIS Miniram

There is a lot of info about these systems. Its hard to say what you should get depending on.
- How much $$$?
- Need for EGR
- Where you want the power? torque or high rpm hp
- If you are planning a cam swap or other engine mods and so on...more info and alot of guys here will recommend a intake.

+ Do a search ( when they've fixed the function) and you will find more than you can read.....

I'm getting a 305 with a 5sp right now and going to try and run 12s on the motor. But the future calls for a 400 with either a 5 or 6sp. I was thinking of getting the LT1 intake for the 305 and going from there for the 400. Anyone have any opinions if the LT1 would be a good intake for a 305?
