Whats the best power anyone has made with a stock TPI? What kind of engine combo do you have?

Hey, I'm curious about this too. I'm looking at a 383 stroker TPI combo.

Ancel, what kind of set up are you looking at? I am looking to go with a kit from "Stroker.com" with AFR 195 heads. I still need to figure out which cam to use.

Hey guys. I am currently stuck between a highflow TPI setup or the HSR. The HSR is non emissions , but I would find a way around that thru bribery... However, the TPI is legal yet sacrifices mucho power. If either of you are set on TPI I'd suggest as a minimum:

Fully ported upper plenum, siamesed runner ports.
A larger tube runner. I'd go with AS&M siamesed for a 383.
Superram base. Most room for further porting so I hear.

Even out of the box, these pieces will assure your 383 doesn't fall on it's face at 4500rpm! Ported stock stuff just won't do IMO. If you do further work to the Superram base I'm sure you6 383 could see 5500rpm just like a stock L98 setup only making LARGER numbers the whole way. Anyway, this is what I'm going to do if I plan to stay with LTR's.

The more I look at this the more I think I should plan for the Stealth Ram. I would like to keep the look of the TPI so it still looks stock, sort of.
