any benefits to porting the stealthram??(GMhi-tech)
i noticed in the gm hi tech magazine where they show the installation of the stealthram on an 86 iroc that they used a dremel to port the runner entry to the lower intake a few inches down and brought the center sections to a peak instead of 1/8-1/4 flats
im about to install my stealthram in a week and does anybody think there will be any noticable benefit to doing this or it would be a waste of time and it should be extrude honed by a shop

I doubt you will be able to feel or see any HP gain from doing that small dremal job. The reason for it was to ensure the incoming air has a smooth flow path into the intake. Basically, you want smoth radius' around all corners. Air will always flow faster when it has the least amount of sharp corners to make. I will be installing my HSR in the coming weeks and will be doing this work as well. Yes. I know I said you proberbly wont feel any difference, but the engine.

Hmmm no you won't feel it - but like a lot of things you don't feel, it will be there improving performance just slightly. The HSR is such a damned monster out of the box, I think one would have to do some radical porting to notice performance above a stock unit. For your 355 I don't think theres much justification unless you're just a freak (and theres nothing wrong with that!)
Just depends whether or not you want to spend the time porting or just slap the **** on and go. I would not extrude hone it, that is very expensive and not needed for your displacement.
