Intake Porting

Hey.

I've got my engine out doing a cam install and I'm going to port, polish the intake and heads. I'm also considering siameseing my intake base but I'm not sure how deep I to siamese it.

My mods are as follows.

Hooker 1 5/8" headers
3" catco cat
Hooker catback
cold air intake

after I get the engine back in I'll also have

SLP semisiamesed runners
Comp 08-302-8 Cam

The cam has the following specs..

Valve lift of .48 I and .48 E
Duration at .05 210 I and 220 E
Advertised duration (.006 Tappet lift) of 264 I and 274 E
Lobe Seperation 112

Now to the question. The runners have been siamessed in about 2 inches from where they connect to the plenum and base. This was done by the previous owner of the runners.

1) Should I siamese the intake base?
2) If so how deep in should I siamese it?
3) Should I further siamese the runners?

Yes, I've searched through the older posts. But siameseing depths range from 1" to 5" and not to many of the posts deal with SLP runners in the setup.

Thanks,

David
