just polishing

Would just polishing the heads and intake gain anything? Instead of porting. If make the pathway bigger slows the flow down, Keep the same size and just make it as sleek as possible.

Well - one will see moderate gains over stock when they chrome the TPI... so I imagine one qould see similar moderate gains from polishing. Not worth it for the performance tho - but it'll look good!

Doubtful you'd see any "real" performance gains from polishing the insides, but one thing it might do is keep the carbon/oil build-up down to a minimum, since there wouldn't be pits and peaks for it to stick to.
