can i go from 2 cats to 1

im trying to get my other subframe connector on (hotchkis) and i thought i might just get rid of one of the cats (since one is clogged) what sort of reprocussions might one have if doing so ?

Toss both of them and get a CatCo cag. They're like 50 bucks and they flow better than stock so you'll minimize power loss, perhaps even gain a horse or two.

i've swapped a 90 iroc vert to single cat from dual cat. i don't know if he picked up any hp but he went from the stock 2.25" dual setup to a single random tech 3" cat. but he also did full exhaust. thats why i don't know if the cat swap did anything.
