possible faulty injector?

hi guys i seem to have a problem with missfiring on one cylinder just recently did a engine rebuild went to fire up engine no problems it started after second time but i realised as i was breaking the cam in my headers which are jethot coated started changing color from a gloss look to a mate look except for one cylinder it remained the same so my brother -inlaw told me that one cylinder wasnt working so we pulled the plug out it had a brand new look about it also it didnt have petrol saturation so we put it on the end of the lead and grounded it spark came out so there is no ignition problem also the injector which seems to not work makes a ticking noise so could it be possible for the injector ticking but failing to spray fuel?

Yep. Try tapping the injector with the end of a screwdriver with the engine running, it may be clogged.
