I'm using the stock valve covers with my crane gold 1.6 RRs. They don't come much cheaper than that.

Yes they fit.

I'm using Crane Gold 1.6 RRs and a crane cam with my aluminum L98 heads and I have no problems. What is interesting is that when doing research for my engine every book said you couldn't use the stock covers with the heads and that I had to get the magnesium covers, but they fit and with the rockers too.
