88/89 TPI/Prom Differences

i read somewhere the difference in the 88 and 89 tpi setup is the 89 has a cold start injector where as the 88 doesnt, however, i have an 89 350 tpi engine out of my old 89 formula 350 i f'ed up, but in my 88 i recently purchased it has the original 88 350 tpi with a cam and headwork, headers and whatever but what are the real differences between the 2 units?

is it worth swapping the 2 setups?

I kept the whole ECM box thing that the prom mounts in, what would happened if i plugged in the 89 ecm and "superchip" and took the 88 one out? would the intake swap be necessary? would i need a different wiring harness?

also before i smashed up the 89 firebird in an accident, i ported the plenum on it, will the 89 plenum work on the 88? i think it looks better too cuz it has smaller lines on the top of it. its also polished

Actually if I am not mistaken it should be that 1985-1987 cars should have the cold start injector. 88 on up shouldn't. Someone feel free to step in and correct me if I am wrong.

BTW I would be interested in purchasing your extra L98 if you are interested in selling it. I do not need any of the TPI equipment. Just the long block and heads. Maybe the flexplate. PM me if interested.

And your plenums are interchangeable.
