i dont know if i should post this in this section or not, but here goes...........
my buddy was messing with the car the other day, and accidently broke the plastic clip that holds the tv cable to the throttle linkage and all. he of course offered to pay for the part and all, but my question is, since that is the only thing that is broken, can i just buy that plastic piece???? possibly take the crimp off the end of the cable, slide the new plastic piece back on, and recrimp the cable?????

 

they only sell them as a complete unit. I'm not sure if you can replace just a piece, but for what a new one costs, you might as well just replace it. Changing it is somewhat time consuming, and a tad frustrating (at least it was for me. I wound up bending a wrench in a vice so that I could tighten that bastard of a 10mm bolt that holds it to the trans), but not overly difficult.
