can't see all fields on my scan tool... where'd they go?
When using my auto x-ray on my IROC, I can scroll through around 40 different data fields. My IROC has the 165 ECM and I'm running a modified APYP Bin. When I set up the x-ray, I just set it up for an 87 L98 and it seems to work fine.
So anyway... over the weekend I hooked up to a friend's 86 LB9 Trans Am. I set up the scan tool for an 86 F-code and monitored it. I only had around 22 or 23 data fields. I don't recall specifically all of the fields missing, but I do remember that I wanted to see how many degrees of timing retard the computer was pulling and that field wasn't available.
Is this due to the 86 using a $32B definition instead of the $6E, or should this stuff still be available with the $32B? I really want to see how much timing his computer is pulling, because he's got a nasty spark knock problem that I'm trying to get rid of.

I think it's a matter of the ECM and what info it's setup to report.
I/e, I plugged into a TBI Suburban the other day, only about 1/2 of what I normally see in my IROC, was viewed.
What I'm getting at, is I don't think the info is hidden anywhere, it's just not available.
