How much PSI should I have?
I'm looking for a new pump and was wondering what kind of PSI it should be capable of? Also what brands of in-line pumps are good?...........don't tell me that I shouldn't get one becuase I don't have the provisions on the sending unit for the in-tank pump.

the style you need should all be marketed as multiport EFI fuel pumps. Your car runs at 43 pounds of pressure, and in some tuning cases you may want to go higher. I believe that most aftermarket pumps designed for multiport EFI should be capable of 60lbs or more pressure. As far as I know, most external pumps that can deliver that sort of fuel pressure are usually a racing style pump that's noisy as hell and quite expensive. I'm sure there are affordable "universal application" pumps out there, but I'm not familiar with them. I do know that a lot of vehicles used an external pump that will work. My cousin is using an external pump from an F150 pickup in his jeep that we converted to an EFI 4.0. I'm sure there are similar OEM pumps that will suit your needs, but you're going to have to do your homework on them.
p.s.... used sending units out of TPI cars are a dime a dozen.
