GSS340 comes as a stand alone pump with or without the kit.Originally posted by camarojoe

What did you order to get the job done?
As for shipping . . . APE is in Garland.
About 30 minutes away from me.
Any tips on the swap?
I'm not cutting a hole in the rear to get to the pump.
I'll be dropping the rear.
I caught a thread wherein several individuals stated that all they had to do was move the exhaust and disconnect the shocks to have enuff room to pull the tank out.
What'd you have to do?

raggy.
Ive droped my tank a few times.. last time I swaped to a extarnal pump.. hehe
anyways
yes just drop the exh. and rear as far as you can.. Thats all I did.
Exh.,
Shocks, Panhard rod, that other cross brace.. and the tank will come out.

Thanks Chris!
I'm hoping to enlist the help of the LG crew and have a fuel pump swap party.
I'll provide beer and tools for the extra heads and hands.
Someday.
I'm really bummed about this.
I don't know how long the car is going sit like this!
Stoopid economy!!

Raggy if I was closer I would help ya out and do it with you. Ive got it down to 45minutes in and out.
If I had a pump to shoot your way I would also but I only have my t-rex external pump and the car is soon to be back on the road with in 4weeks

It looks like Fredo had an extra pump lying around.
He offered it to me for free.
We'll see how this works out.

The 340 is the best pump for out cars and the link that it's my previous post has the part number from that website. The pump really just plugs in where the old one was, it's cake when you see it. I didn' t do the actual install, my ASE certified friend did.
I really only helped him wrestle the tank down. This is so much easier on a lift. I can't imagine doing this job on jackstands.
The GSS340 part # is all you need to get the job done. The only reason to get the racetronics kit is if your wiring to the pump is not good and not giving the pump enough voltage.
