fuel pressure gauge fluctuating while driving

i hooked up a fuel pressure gauge to the car and taped it so i could watch it while driving. at idle the needle fluctuates back and forth between 4 psi. when i give it a bit more gas it becomes steady again. open the throttle even more, about halfway, and it starts to fluctuate rapidly between about 10 psi. when i let go of the gas it stops again.

im wondering if this may be a fuel injector problem or if it could also mean something is not right with the vacuum, since that is what controls the pressure.

also the pressure stays around 40 and moves up to 50 at WOT. it doesnt drop, it's just not steady.

lets try this again

so after driving around with the vacuum line disconnected from the AFPR the needle on the gauge is doing the same thing, so engine vacuum can't be affecting it. im thinkin of just changing the injectors since the ones i got are prone to fail. is there a way to check if it could also be a pump causing this?

well with the needle fluctuating it would mean to me the fuel pump is trying to lock up. getting old. injectors sticking won't cause the needle to bounce.

injector resistance at 30 ohms!

well i checked the resistance of 2 injectors and the meter is reading close to 30 for each of 'em. i did a seach and found that the spec for 19# and 22# injectors should be 14 to 16. i think i found my problem. seems like everyone that posted about this type of injector has had problems with low resistance. but mine is reading high for some reason. who knows. they are prone to fail anyways. now i just need to decide what brand to go with.
