I have an opportunity to purchase an 88 BBK 52mm Throttle Body for a really good price. The problem is I have an 89 car. I've been told there are some differences between the 2 years. Anyone know what they are and what I would need to do for the 88 throttle body to work/bolt up on my 89 tpi setup?

Also I might be getting some 88 AS&M runners...can the cold start injector provision just be blocked off and they would be the same as the 89?

Also the seller claims that these runners are AS&M but they look alot like SLP runners to me....can anyone positively identify them as AS&M?

Sure look like SLP's to me, look just like mine. You'll need to plug the CSI hole to use them on an 89 TPI.
