bad fuel injectors???

bad fuel injectors???
How would a guy know if the fuel injectors were going bad???
The car is getting harder to start in cooler weather or when i have been driving it (operating temp) then i shut it off for a few like to run into a store.When i come back out it cranks quite a bit longer to fire. On the first start of the morning or day i get a white smoke that smells like fuel. I think the injectors are bleeding off fuel pressure by leaking fuel into the cylinders over night???
