moo argh **** II ( see moo argh ****, for part one!)

hi ya all, well i finally got my wells maf su145, the car now runs with the new wells maf installed, so i can say the old bosch o/e one was knackered coz it wouldnt run for more than ten seconds with it connected, just one thing tho, does the new wells maf need setting up? i fitted it as per the instuctions and the car runs now ok at tick over, but when you drive it if you accelerate from a stand still it goes and moves forward in accordance with the revs all fine until the point when it should be changing up a gear(its a 4sp auto box) and it doesnt change up, instead it seems to be either overfueling or it seems like there is a rev limiter there, but if you lift your foot off the gas pedal and then reapply i a few seconds latert, it sometimes changes up a gear and the fun starts again(not) any idea's ?? anyone?? coz driving around like im driving miss daisy ,is driving me nuts lol, cheers steve

Could be you need to adjust the TV cable for the transmission. Should be a "How to" on the Main Page in Tech Central or Tech Articles.

No, not really...i/e you shouldn't have to adjust the TV Cable just because you replaced the MAF.

You could have a lean/rich condition happening, now with the new MAF, that's causing the engine to hit a wall...hence not allow correct line pressure in the tranny.

Did you reset the ECM once you installed the new MAF? Maybe start there first, then adjust the TV.
