Oil & Temp Gauge Dont Work

Car: 1986 IROC Z
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 700R4
Oil & Temp Gauge Dont Work
When i first got my car in july the Temp Gauge used to work but not the oil, about 2 months ago the Temp. gauge broke, whats up? how to fix this?

Have you checked out your Oil pressure sender? A friend of mine as well as I have had our oil press. gauges take a crap on us and in both cases it was the oil press. sending unit.
If you look on the very back of the block on the drivers side right next to the dist. there will a goldish round sender at an angle, thats the sending unit, there will be a plug @ the very end of the unit, if you don't see a wire connector going to it then it's unpluged like my friends was, if you do see a wire pull the connector off and if there is no tab coming off of the sender then the tab snaped off the sender and is stuck in the connector like in my case.
Look it over and let me know what you find, hope this helps ya out.
