Stalling & Stumbling
For about a year my car has had a stumbling problem at about 2000 rpm and also would just cut off completely. Anyway, today it was stumbling badly and cut off several times. The difference this time was that the tach would drop to 0 when the car was still moving and it is a stick, so the rpms should have stayed up. Now, I think I have read on here that a bad ignition module would cause the tach to act funny when it dies, but I am not sure. Also, trying to figure out this stumbling/stalling problem, I have replaced the entire distributor & coils and MAF relays with no success. If I unplug the MAF when it acts stupid like this, it will run fine, so i am putting a new MAF on this week. But, again I am almost psoitive that the tach did not drop to 0 before today even when it stalled.
Thanks

Yeah, i think so too, as far as the problem I have had for awhile, but I am a little worried now that the tach dropped to 0 that I might have an ignition module problem as well. It normlally just cut off and the tach would stay up around 2000 unless I pushed in the clutch. Anybody have a similar experience?

I had a problem with a bad MAF recently and my tach was bouncing all over the place, no power, and made it home in the limp mode. How embarassing being passed by little old ladies who could barely see over the steering wheel.
