I called TPIS about using formulas to calculate the correct injector size for a given engine and according to them, there is NO mathematical formula or program that can accurately calculate the correct injector size for an engine. TPIS claims the only way is on a dyno.

Just some more conflicting information.

Does anyone really know?

Scoggin tech says 19's will be enough for their 360HP V8 TPI crate.
All calculations I've seen bring that number up to 24ib which supports up to 384HP (or close).

SLP has a set of 8 for $100, but they are 25's. (rated at 3BAR (44PSI) - does this in fact make them 24ib injectors at 40ish PSI?

Half the population loves their Accel's, the other half swears against them. I've had Accel supercoils and plug wires prematurely hit the grave on me but I'm in the dark with injectors.

My plan is to run the 360 HP TPI Scoggin Crate motor. It has vortec heads and an LT4 Hot cam. What is everyone's opinion on what I should run? I'm leaning towrad the 25's since the price is great but I don't want to be running pig rich...

I'm running 26's. Engine Analyzer Pro (that $600+ computer simulation program) says I need 29s; the on-line calculators say I need injectors in the low 30's. Go figure!

There are programs that can calculate the fuel flow at different ratings - 44PSI Vs 43.5, Vs whatever. Those are accurate.

It's just trying to predict which is the correct injector size to buy; that's where the confusion comes in.
