injector constant help!
injector constant help!
hey guys, the last prom that was burned for my car i think included a 22# injector constant. I am having some idle surging problems but really think its my FPR (long story) Ohh, I am now running 24#ers
Anyway, do you think the wrong constant is contributing to my idle problems?
I have a new pump, no pulse damper, new injectors. Pretty sure my reg is the problem but what am i hurting by having the 22# constant? Am i down on power, or pushing the injectors harder, etc??
thanks

using the incorrect injector will cause surging.
ie your case, stock 22# constant using 24# injectors will cause the problems you describe.
if the FPR is leaking repalce it asap!!!!!

ok, but what's weird is when i built the new motor, i HAD 22#'ers and it was still running like crap with the surging, etc. There was no difference between the 22's and 24's in idle behavior.
My regulator does not leak and am pretty dang sure there is no vac leaks ANYWHERE...but im still thinking its messed up.

check the fpr vacuum line for liquid fuel. that the most common and overlooked fault with FPR.
