Can I use these!!!

ok I have a 1985 Camaro with a TPI 305 and I am going to be Buying a GM 350 Crate Engine from Soggin Dickey, I know that the injectors need to be swaped but here is my delima, About a year after I Put this engine in I will be buying the (Holley Stealth Ram) and I am not sure what injectors to go with 22lbs or 24lbs. Here are the specs on the engine. I know that the stock vette in 85' that had a 350 had 22lbs Injectors but Can the stock engine run on 24Lbs and be ok. Do wana spend the cash on 22lbs then a year later buy 24lbs injectors.

I will also do a cam change when I switch to the (HSR) any body give me specs on a good cam grind. The car has a T-5 With 3.42 and will be a DAILY DRIVER and in a few years hopefully a mid 12s any comments or info welcome.

Engine Name: 350 LM1
Horsepower: 249 HP @ 5,000 RPM

The 22lb injectors will work for what you are doing but the prom needs changed to run them too, but I would rethink that engine. It is very low compression and I don't think you will be happy with it. I would look at getting an L98 or getting something a shortblock and adding a good set of heads.

I decided to buy the engine for reliability as of a daily driver and will build another engine in the mean time, so I will always have a Spare Motor to fall back on.

I've got that engine in my car right now. It runs good for a daily driver, but as far as bolt ons go I'll be building a new motor as well, because the cam and heads are so bad. It still makes wicked low end torque and smokes the tires all day long. I'm not thrilled about it, but it was new in the car when I bought it with only about 5,000 miles on it.

I would use the 22 lbs/hr injectors. You can use a stock PROM to run the system. In my opinion it isn't worth it to swap up to 24s. Run the 22s right on the edge and then go to 30s when you need them. 22s will support somewhere around 400HP, so you should be able to run 12s with then no problem.

I did exactly what you are doing, bought a LM1 for short term use then have it fall back on. I snuck a little bigger cam in before install, summit 1102 cam :

Specifications:
* Advertised duration: 262 intake/272 exhaust
* Duration at .050 in. cam lift: 204 intake/214 exhaust
* Gross valve lift: .420 in. intake/.442 in. exhaust
* Lobe separation: 112 degrees
* RPM range: 1,500 to 4,000

This went into my vette but I think the cam would work great for a TPI. I then put some TFS 23^ heads on along with a crane roller cam and beat on it pretty good with no problems what so ever for a summer, it saw 6000 rpm's almost everytime I took it out. The bottom end is pretty good for the cost.

BTW you can buy just the cam for $60 and use the lifters that are already in the eng since it has not been fired up.
I am now running the next cam up with the heads off the LM1 on a 383 right now with pretty nice results although I fear the lift is little high for the stock springs.

I got mine here:

looks like they tacked on a $100 core charge but is still a little cheaper than SD plus shipping should be cheaper since it is out of Ohio.
