Bought TPI now what?

I just bought a TPI intake, wiring harness and ecm and would like to know if it will work right in my 92 RS with a carbed 350. I know that it is a MAF system i ran the ECM number this moring. I'm not using the current wiring harness for anything cept the sending wires for the guages. Car was a MPFI V6 from the factory. I plan on taking out the intire underhood harness to do this swap. Is there anything that might not swap easy with the new electrics. I'll tell you what i have now. 1970's 350 block with a q-jet carb, stock heads. I know the bolt pattern is different with the 87-later heads. HEI distributor, 700R4 tranny. If you need more info just let me know. Thanks alot

you'll need an 87 up distributor, possibly a late model alt., and assuming the ecm and harness are correct for eachother, and you have all sensors, i believe thats it... you say you have a 700r4? you'll need to make sure your chip is for an auto, but if you have a th-350 a chip for a manual tranny might work (however only 305's came with a manual)... not sure

I have an 87+ distributor on another engine that i could steal. The person i bought the system from said it was pulled from the same car. Just wondering what are the names of all the senors used just incase i need to get some. I have a painless wiring harnes controlling the lock-up torque converter right now. Will that be a problem with using the computer or am i gonna have to return it to a stock system? Also my car has an electric speedometer. Does the ecm get a signal from this or does the signal from the tranny go to the dash? I'm new to Fuel Injection and having things controled electronicly instead of by pressure, and vaccum like you would use with a carb. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Get a book called 'TPI Swappers Guide' or an other books on the subject, I bought a few books and plan on putting some type of FI in my vette, already have a tpi/heads off an 89 Firebird that I am not sure I am going to install but still bought the books to learn.
