When installing my intake back onto the heads, i forgot the tin pan that bolts to the underneath of the intake. I got it all bolted down, looked over on the bench and there it was. Is this really needed? Thanks, Tim

Is your EGR exhaust crossover passage functional or did you block it off? If it is functional then the exhaust heat will start cooking the oil on the bottom of the intake. It can damage your oil and create a mess in the engine.
If your exhaust crossovers are blocked then it will not cause a problem.
