headers/intake manifold
Ok, i have 2 issues here. I did a search on both and couldn't come up with what i was lookin for. First, Hooker shorty headers. How easy are they to install? I'm talkin about whats the best way to go (top or bottom), and what all needs to be removed to get the headers in there?
Second, a new intake manifold on a 350 TPI. How easy is this to do yourself? My buddy just did his on a 350 but his is carbed so i wasn't sure if it would be much harder on a tpi setup. Any responses would be great. Thanks in advance.

I put in Hooker Shorties but I pulled the heads and replaced them at the same time. Driver side has plenty of room. Passenger side would be a bear with the heads on, it would have to be done from underneath. TPI intakes aren't hard, just have to take your time and watch the clips on the injectors.

I have Hooker Headers and they are not hard and fit rather well but the Passenger side is a pain due to the Tranny dip stick and the AC stuff. I just put heads on and it was a pin with them tring to get them off. The intake is easy as pie. Just remember where everything goes, vaccume and so on.

Yeah, the only thing to worry about with the intake is the vacume lines. MARK ALL OF THEM!!!!!When I did mine I didn't mark any of them and it took forever to figure out where they all went. Also make sure you torque the bolts down too otherwise you will have vac. leaks.
