carb to tpi

Ok
Starting out I am new to tpi so any help you could give me would be great.
I have a 86 Iroc with a 305 tpi witch I would like to replace with a 350 using the 305 tpi. The 350 will be coming from my 89 camaro. The 350 is a carb motor right now, but I want to play with FI. Here are the specs of the motor.
350 .030 over
Stock Iron heads 1.94 1.50
10.1 comp
Roller rockers
Comp cam extreme 274
274/286 adv dur
.487/490 lift

My question is what kind of promblems am I going to experience with this swap? I know I am going to need a custom prom and stuff but will I be able to get it to run on the 305 componints? I already have 24 lbs injectors for it. What other parts will I need to make the tpi work?

You should be ok with the parts you have, with a few exceptions off the top of my head. First you will have to modify the center intake manifold to cylinder head bolt holes, the 1989 heads have a different center bolt angle than the 1986 did, just drill them out larger, the head of the bolt won't sit flat but that really isn' t very important. You will need to use bigger injectors than the stock 305 injectors, the 24 lb will work, but a little big IMO for a stock 350. You will need a prom from a 350 1986-1988 if you plan to retain the MAF sensor, which I would recommend because a speed density conversion would be involved at this point. You should be able to find a used prom easily enough. You don't need a custom prom. Really it is an easy swap, you have all the parts. You can run the motor on the 305 prom, it will run, not great but it will run.

The block and heads in my rs are from 1972 Nova so I shouldent have to modify the intake manifold.

You said that the 350 was out of a 1989 camaro, if the parts are 1989, than you will have to modify.
