Hey im very new into the third gen camaros/firebirds..... So please this question may sound really stupid to all of u veterans out there, so please cut me some slack.. I just bought a 1991 Black Z28 350 TPI dual Cats and 4disc wit 13,902 org miles.... Now whats ILE package ive been hearing about? I heard is has to do somthin wit the 4disc 350 TPI and dual cats..? Does that make mine one? like i said i hav no idea and feel like a complete moron... thanks guys

 

A 1LE will have four piston corvette brakes in the front, no A/C, a different pulley set up, and many other things that I am probably forgetting. Basically the 1LE is a stripped down high performance version. If you have one, hold on to it forever, or let me know when you don't want it anymore

 

nah i hav AC...... nvm..... But very intresting tho.. My Maro to me it still a keeper if its 1LE or not...

You could have a 1LE and have A/C too. All one had to do was order the car option by option. Start with either a Camaro or Firebird, add the high perf engine, 1LE option, then add all of the other options you wanted.
Kind of a retarded way to go about it, BUT you'd get all of the performance and options of a T/A / IROC without the higher insurance costs.

 

Just find your RPO code sticker and look and see if it has 1LE on it.
