87 IROC 350 TPI-Show Car-Heavily Modified

Having to replace in tank fuel pump. Suggestions on going to
intank or external pump. 355ci-Miniram ect, heavily modified
and getting ready to upgrade to WP 427 Street shortblock.

Any suggestions as to pump choice and placement as don't want
to drop everything in rear of car again in case of pump failure
and upgrade of powerplant.

i know this is short and sweet but can get into details later.

Anyone? or is this in the wrong thread or forum.
Just want to find out if anyone has run an external pump close to tank and how they set up the pickup and filter after removing the
intank pump,pickup and filter.

This application will be in the 500 to 600HP range.
