TPI-LT1 intake guys Help!

Hey, anyone running an LT1 intake on there TPI car? i am doing a Carb-TPI(LT1 intake) and i ran into a little problem, it seems that the timing cant be adjusted very much because it hits the back of the intake, i have the small HEI distributor with external coil. the connectors go to the drivers side, if im not mistaken just like the large HEI does. well im putting it on my 406 so we'll see how it runs in a few days hopefully tomorrow. thanks in advance!

You can respline the distributor so that it faces a different direction and give you a bit more room for adjustment. Just unbolt the distributor hold-down and pick up the distributor, turn it about 1/6th of a turn and set it back down. You just have to make sure the rotor and the distributor move as a unit or your timing will be affected.

Absolutely. I had to turn the oil pump shaft with a large flat tip screwdriver to seat the gear. Now, the connectors are facing the rear of the car. I had the same problem. Just re-spline the dizzy, and all will be well.

Yeah, ill try to keep some kind of post up on the vehicle, im going from a crappy performer intake and stock Q-jet with stock airbox, to the LT1 intake with lt1 injectors, my prom was done by John @LT1intakes.com so we'll see how everything goes, i just need to figure out if im getting power to the ECM or not, im not really sure where the power would go to anyways, if anyone has swapped Carb-TPI before help would be greatly appreciated
