Smog pump help car run better?Timing?Smoke and Water too???

Well i had to replace my smog pump because it was squealing really bad on me.So i figured id replace it until i buy a smog delete pulley. Now i noticed that my emmisions smell a lot every so often. Can this be because of the new smog pump and maybe my timing needed to be adjusted after adding the new smog pump?

Also i notice sometime,my exhaust looks like it produces a lil bit of white smoke. It actually looks more like its steam. And it drips water from the tail pipes. When it gets warmer out i usually dont see the steam too much but i sometime still notice the water dripping from my tail pipes.

Just a couple concerns....Thanks...Al in NJ

is it water, or is it gas? If it is water, it could be condensation. The smoke is probably valve seals.

i had a truck one time that did that after blowing a head gasket. it was pouring coolant into a cylinder.

That was the first thing that popped into my head when he said all of that...blown head gasket.

How much water is coming out, and does it do it even if the car has been driving around for a while? When was hte last time you checked your coolant level? If its lower than it should be, you probably are dumping coolant into a cylinder..

my coolant level is perfect.I only really notice it when its a slightly cooler day.I havent took much notice if it does it after running for a while or not.But its weird cause it seems like condensation.

Now i do notice my emmisions smelling. Can this be caused at all by a new smog pump,id figured it would smell less with a new smog pump. And do you think its timing relate, the timing seems to be on according to specs.
