New 1227730 Part # ???
I'm trying to look up the price of the 90-92 1227730 ECU on GMpartsDirect but I can't find the current GM part number for it, I know it's not 1227730 or 01227730.
Anybody know what it is?
Thanks!

This is the PN off of my computer that I got through the dealer a year ago. When I first told the guy I needed a 730 ECM, he looked at me like I was high...Then I just gave him the VIN and he found what I needed...

That looks like it, thanks!
Wow a $90 core charge! I better pay them with a money so I can send them my old ECM and not have to worry about the core charge.
Wonder why the sy/ty 7749 only has a $25 core, that I can absorb atleast. Supply and demand I guess.
Thanks!

Just go to a junkyard. For the price of new/overhauled ones, you can buy 2 or more of the junkers.
If they pass the plug it in and run test, they'll probably last as long as any other one you'll find.
Just for grins, you might ohm out the injectors. Lots of the older injectors are surviving long term exposure to some of the new fuel brews, or time's finally getting to them. I've seen two dead 730 from bad injectors in the last couple months.

Get your computers from www.car-parts.com it's a salvage yard item lookup with prices. You can get a 1227730 for as little as $20.
