please help me out!

here's the problem...

if the engine is cool i can start it and it will idle fine in park for a while and then the rpms will drop and it will die. if i shift it into gear, it will die right away...if it is warmed up, it wont start at all unless i give it a little gas and it runs fine...i trie to set the timing and its at like 8-10 * BTDC and it was suc ha pain in the *** to do i really dont want to mess with it again...i have not checked the tps, iac, or adjusted the idle as they have not been changed and therefore i assume should be the same as they were when the car was running...
give me all the suggestions u have to check cuz i am at a loss and it sucks...

i just put a new cam in and all new intake stuff by the way
thanks!

I dont know if I'm going to be much help, because I very depressed over my own car, but check for error codes on the ECM, and check the voltage on the TPS at idle. Also check the MAF connector, sometimes one of the pins gets bent over.

New cam and intake "stuff"? Vacuum leaks. Or you have the cam timed wrong...

That sounds like a problem I had once. Check The TPS voltage and possibly the IAC motor.

How bout setting the timing back a bit to 6* BTDC instead of the "8 to 10" its at right now?
