Where do these hoses go???

I have a hose that should obviously be clamped down somewhere in my engine compartment (has clamp marks on the end and the clamp is dangling in the middle of it).

I traced it back to the oil filter mount I think. It, along with another hose look likey they came out of the oil filter mount. Anyone guess or know where these hoses originate and where they both lead to???

Those would be coolant hoses for the factory oil cooler. They should go over to the passenger side of the car, one would hook the the radiator...the other I'm not sure but I think it goes to the heater control valve.

The one that hooks to the heater control valve is the one that I discovered and last night I hooked it up to what I beleive is the heater control valve. I hope I am correct. I am not too satisfied with how that control valve just sits on top of everything. To make sure I am talking about the right part. I think I deduced the Heater control valve to be a valve that has 3 hoses attatched to it, 1 goes to the firewall on the passenger side (but close to the middle) and one goes to the oil filter mount (the disconnected one I found last night) and the other one goes to , well, I forget where that one goes,l but it is not a long hose. Hope we are talking about the same part. If we are then I made the right connection. Guess I will find out when I start the car up again next week.

Thanks Morely, you've been a big help.:hail:

Yep, sounds like you got it. The heater control valve does just "float" by the valve cover, just held by the hoses, kinda cheesy. I moved mine over between the blower motor and strut tower (used some longer hose), it un-cluttered the passenger side of the engine a bit and looks better.
