Fuel pump woes
When I test my Fuel Pressure it gets a good reading, about 50 PSi, I forget the exact reading, but it was a good reading... BUT my fuel pressure gage has a releaf button, and when I push it the fuel just barely ozes out.. On the other cars that I have tested fuel will darned near shoot across the room when I push the button...
Could this be a sign that my pump is wearing out???
Also I am recently experiencing a really irradic idle at times, I think thats the O2 sensor tho. Could it be related???

Sounds like the check valve isn't keeping the fuel pressure up after pump stops, was the pressure dropping before you pressed the relief button, cause your right, it is a fuel shower bleeding off pressure if your not careful.

THe car actually runs fine... Actually after all I ahve done to it I expected more... I run about a 15.0 sec flat with the following:
SLP cam SLP Part # 51002
Oversize runners (about 1/8" larger in Diameter)
I ported the Plenum, Base, and runners, & gaskets for better flow.
SLP Headers & cat back
3.73:1 axel
Aluminum Driveshaft
Trans Go (Gil Younger No Yo-Yo Shift Kit)
I dunno...

If you want to check one more thing, I would check for volume, test how much fuel it pumps in a given period of time, can't remember the spec, I could look it up if you want, let me know. BTW, a 305 running a 15 flat is pretty good from what I have seen. I myself have not gotten out to the track yet, next year I will do a couple of runs for kicks, just to see what my setup will do. I am not expecting any maricles either maybe a high 14. With a 305 under the hood, it is more for show than go. BTW, what MPH?

I really want to see if I can get down to 14 to mid 14's with a 305, NA, AUto...
My best time when I went the last time was 15.15 @ 92Mph.. BUT My tramsmission puked at around 80 Mph, so I had to take my foot off the gas and hit it again... not sure whats going on there
...
Right now tho I have some tranny issues, As stated above, at about 80-85 Mph the tranmission feels like it goes into neutral, I take my foot off gass and push again ind it goes...
