04' Silverado delphi multec II fuel injectors will they work?

My friend just got his super charger put on his 2004 SS silverado and replaced his injectors with 43# ones. he said i could have them if i wanted them, not sure if they will work for me in my 91 z28 5.7L, they are rated at 22.1 lbs/hr @ 43.5psi. they are the delphi multec II design, not the ****ty original multecs, they would be perfect, but the problem i am having is they are the ev6 short style injectors. they measure exactly 2 inches from o-ring to o-ring. the original injectors measure 3 inches from o-ring to o-ring. so they are one inch shorter, i know you can use a little bit shorter injectors, but one inch shorter seems a bit too much. i could grind down the injector bolt holes on the intake a bit, is that too much to grind off though. what do you guys recomend that i do.

Sounds to me like they just won't fit from being to small to even consider using. If your fuel rail isn't holding them in you may leak and cause a fire...

hmmm... With shorter injectors, just maybe they can be worked with our rails along with NOS direct port injection( think thats what its called) that they sell in a universal kit and a kit for mustangs.

You can get a set of 8 22 lb injectors off ebay for $20, why bother messing around with the 1" too short multec IIs?

multec II's are better than the multec I's. i have been looking on ebay for them, but can only find the multec I's. i refuse to use them, they are just junk. the pre-multec injecors are fine, but i cant find any right now, and i have these multec II injectors that only have 500 miles on them, so i just wanted to see if i could get them to work.
