Plenum Part Number

Need a part number query answer.
I am trying to get a replacement plenum for a 5.7 L 350 TPI in a 1987 IROC Camaro. The IPL for the car has a part number that ends with 8443. All, the plenums for sale for the "85-88 TPI Tuned Port Plenum L98 350 305 Camaro Firebird" say the part number is 14081006. Can anyone tell me if these plenums are interchangeable? My engine has cold start injector and IAC valve. I want the second one to port for more airflow and I want my current one to save for ????.

Thanks,

Scott

this number 14081006 should be on the bottem of the plenum.i beleive that is the part number for the 85-88 plenum.i've added a picture of the three plenums offered by GM.the one on the left is the 85-88 the middle one is the 89 and the right side is the 90-92 plenum.you can use the 89 plenum on a 85-88 car cause it still has the passage way in the front of the plenum.

p.s. take a look at us over at Greater Cincinnati F-Body Association www.GCFBA.net

Plenum Part Number for 1987 350

That is good news. I never see the 87-88 part number for sale, p/n 10108443. I frequently see the number I listed in the first post. The 1989 number is listed as 10108486 in my IPL. However, the last time I bought parts from Chevy the counter person told me that ~1990 the parts numbering was changed on a lot of parts. Where did you get the information you show in the photo in your post.
Thanks,
Scott

I'd suggest buying a used plenum, look through the classifieds....if the dealer still has stock, expect to pay several hundred dollars for one, used ones run about 40-50 bucks.

Always ask if they've been ported on or not, if they have been ported, then request a pic of the port job to make sure it's not hacked up.
