If i i have below 3/4 of a tank and i try to start the car cold, it will start but then die, but it will stay running if i pump the gas.When i let of the gas and hit the brakes the rpm drop real low,all the light go dim and it sometimes dies.Car runs much better on a full tank. Is this a problem with the fuel pump?

have you changed the fuel filter latly--it could be fuel pump related, but I would check the filter to start--let us know
