just the lid and plenum. not the runners nor the base

this guy is selling one and if i can snag it for under 400-500 it may be a good deal. but this is kinda a fishy deal here. wonder why there is no plenum and lid?

anyway, need some advice on this... what you think? good deal? and where can i get the top cover and hardware to install it?

Looks like you need more than just the lid. You need the whole plenum. I don't know where you could just get that. The hardware you can get at a common parts store because it seems to use standard bolt sizes. Looks like a good deal, but it's hard to tell with the guy's reserve still on. I also don't know what he's talking about when he says it will fit vortecs. Have him check how many coolant passages there are if you are seriously interested.

 

The pic shows only the base and the runners. If I am not mistaken, the base alone sells new for $400. BUT, is the base in the pic the Accel base????

 

i dont know, he says so. i know he dont know much about it but if it is all accel stuff, then its a good deal if the reserve aint to high. LOL yeah, i meant to say whole plenum. i'll keep watching it and maybe ask him a question on it or something.

 

It looks like an Accel to me, hard to tell from the pic. Mine has Accel cast into the top that one doesnt. If its an Accel they sale for around 500.00 new. Its still a good price just for the base. Who knows by the time the auction ends.

Its sounds kinda fishy, its new stuff but no plenum or lid. He only wants money orders thats pretty scary right there. kinda hard to find just a plenum. The lid can be made from billet.
