87 Z28. I read somewhere that a cheaper alternative to bigger injectors is to use the ones of a DOHC olds quad four motor.

Quad 4 DOHC Injectors. 26lbs/hr 2 ohms peak and hold

First will they fit.
Second they are low impedance while the stock 19lbs injectors are high impenance. I've also read that some ECU's can recognize and use both types. low and high impedance. Can the stock ECU do it?

why do I need bigger injectors?
Well plans are Variable Fuel Pressure regulator,Cat back, headers, vortec heads, scoggin dickey manifold, slp runners, port the intake, stroke the motor to 335 and turbo charge it 5-7 lbs. Then get someone to burn a chip or 10.

Low impedance injectors will burn up the injector drivers in a stock ECU. They can't take it. The only ones that can are aftermarket.

Any Bosch style injector will work on a TPI. I'm running 24 lbs/hr Ford injectors on mine right now. Turbo 2.3 Fords have 36 lbs/hr injectors stock, so they are a good source for those injectors.

You will definately need a cutom chip. In truth, with a turbo you'd be better off going to programmable engine management. There are ways to make the stock ECU work, but there are a lot of other viable options out there that will get you better results cheaper, unless you can burn the chips yourself.
