has anyone put one of these on their car. did it help and is it worth the money. i already have the msd6 box

That kit is for a points style ignition. You don't use the ballast resistor on an electronic ignition system. The rest of the kit will work but why not just order the kit for your year model. It is a direct replacement for the iron core coil. Don't expect any serious gains unless you are having a problem with the factory coil.
