wats better speed d or maf????
hey guys i just got a 91 z 5.7 tpi.it doesnt have a maf so my buddy told me its a speed density model,is this correct?he said he read somewere that maf is better then speed d but that he wasnt sure,is this true?if so what are some good simple mods i can do?im tbi owner who now has both tpi and tbi

IMHO it does not really matter which one you have. You can make good power with either one. By the way your buddy is correct. Again in my opinion the MAF car is more forgiving when making changes to the engine. Allen
Stock for stock, the speed density cars were faster. In that sense speed density is "better". In the tuning sense, it is highly contested which is "better," and there's a sticky in the DIY PROM section of the board on this topic.

ohh cool .i'll be doing a big tune up to it in the next 3 days ,and get it back to a good running tpi.then i'll do some lil bolt ons
