Spudder, Stalling and poping

87 Camaro IROC-Z w/305 TPI and 700R4

When I first got the car it had amazing power and speed but lately the car has been difficult to start and has had a loss of power. Sometimes I have to pump the peddle to start it and then it will spudder and die and I have to restart it again. Once I have done that a few times it tends to finally run.

Then every so often (but not all the time) when I'm crusing it will feel like it is missing or not not getting fuel. If I give it more gas it will sometimes pull out of that and speed up, but other times it acts like it wants to go faster, but drags heavily. Sometimes this ways heavy on the position of the throttle peddle. If I fluctuate it there are sometimes certain positions it does this.

If I stop at a light, the RPMs will drop low down to like 400, the belts start to squeak and it will spudder like it wants to die. Then when I step on the gas it jerks like it is getting intermittend fuel bursts and sometimes will make this loud poping sound from under the hood. Its really annoying when I see a break in traffic and it starts that crap. I'm also trying to stay away from all the RR crossings! But this doesn't happen all the time either. Some days the car drives like it was the first day I got it.

I can't ever seem to replicate these problems when I'm sitting in my drive way and its in park and I don't see anything wrong with the belts. I also havn't noticed any codes.

At first I thought it was the TPS, but I hooked a volt meter to it and tested it like in the hanes manual and it goes from .04 to 4.2. I adjusted it to where it goes from .56 at idle to 4+ at WOT like it said in the book too.

I'll recheck the codes tomorrow, but does anyone have any ideas?

Fuel Filter? Dirty IAC? Check Fuel pressure to rule out lazy Fuel pump.
